Kick Start the Cycling Year on 23rd April 2017
The Western Lakes and Atlantic Challenge (WLAC) is a fun and challenging sportive cycling event with something for the family and a long distance cycle for the endurance athlete. The 144K route, which starts and ends in Salthill, Galway, takes the cyclists through Connemara, is the perfect goal for anyone who wants to get a long cycle done early in the year to set themselves up for a summer of racing, triathlon or recreational cycling.
Pedal Out for Down Syndrome Galway and Galway Rape Crisis Centre
Entry fee and sponsorship will help fund Voices for Down Syndrome Galway and the Galway Rape Crisis Centre.
The two sports clubs involved, Galway Bay Cycling Club and Salthill Knocknacarra GAA Club, will use the event to help fund their juvenile sections.
We would encourage all cyclists to raise sponsorship for this event, either on-line, or request a sponsorship card when entering, or open an iDonate page for WLAC
