At Down Syndrome Galway, our mission is to provide vital information, unwavering support, and genuine friendship to individuals with Down Syndrome and their families throughout County Galway. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life for people with Down Syndrome, advocating for their respect and acceptance as valued members of our community.
We understand the critical importance of early intervention and the development of communication skills. Our goal is to foster social and personal inclusion, creating opportunities for integration and participation at every stage of life.

Our team works to support individuals with Down Syndrome and their families, helping them thrive and connect within the community.
Our Structure
In addition to our main branch committee, we have subcommittees that manage our center located in Claregalway and projects/activities for the branch. These committees work collaboratively to ensure our services and initiatives are effective and accessible.
How We Are Funded
We receive no state support or institutional funding. All of our activities and services are solely funded through the generous contributions of our members and the public, along with proceeds from fundraising events.
