Thursday morning, 10th October 2019 saw the getting together of 9 fabulous students ready to start into their two-year Work Skills programme. 

We are so excited in DSG Branch to have established a new collaboration with Galway/Roscommon Education training board.

A GRETB tutor will deliver the course content that was developed by DSI with Accenture.

We have had such cooperation with our friends at HSE Services also when it came to transport & providing assistants.

This has been a year of phone calls, texting, letter writing & emailing starting with Irene back in November, then parents Eileen & Deirdre for most of the Summer & then all linked together by Maura, our Resource Officer.

It is such a thrill for us to see if up & running. We were very disappointed that we had to pull our programme planned for DSG West Centre due to cancellations, but we feel once everybody sees the great work & fun being had in DSG East Centre every Thursday, it will encourage more to come on board for 2020.
