As we close off Lots of Socks (Little Socks) for 2020, some THANK YOU’s to share…

THANK YOU to all the wonderful #knitters who created such beautiful #LittleSocks to enable #LotsofSocks to be the success it was.
THANK YOU to all who took pairs of Little Socks to share and wear with family and friends during October, #downsyndromeawareness month.

THANK YOU to Ruta Graham and her mum…this initiative would not have been possible without the passion and determination of Ruta for her beautiful son Adam.
Ruta’s mum and Adams Grandmother was the inspiration for Lots of Socks, when a box of Little Socks she hand knitted arrived from her mum in 2019, the starting point
of an awareness campaign to celebrate Down syndrome within our community.
Sadly Ruta’s mum passed away unexpectedly in November, leaving a beautiful legacy in her loving memory.
Finally, we are delighted to announce the final figure raised from donations by wearers of Little Socks comes to an astonishing €3406, which we are very grateful for.
This money will benefit Voices for Down Syndrome Galway, a dedicated Speech and Language Therapy project within Down Syndrome Galway.
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SUPPORTED THIS CAMPAIGN IN 2020.
