Music/music therapy: Thursday 12th July to Thursday 23rd August 2018.

The most common form of music interaction is improvisatory music making. A wide selection of instruments are on hand to offer everyone regardless of age, ability and musical experience an opportunity to express themselves through sound and play. This is usually done with supportive musical structures provided by the music therapist. How we feel can often manifest in how we play music. The trained music therapist is on hand to help validate feelings, direct musical experiences and help the client reflect on the creative process when appropriate.
Use of song writing, lyric analysis, song parody and singing are also common musical activities which can happen within a session.
Receptive music therapy involves the use of music listening. The music might be chosen by the student or the music therapist. Common goals in this area might include the use of recorded music for relaxation or for reminiscing on life events.

Music & Me Classes and Baby Sensory:- Friday 20th July to Friday 31st August.
The passion at the BEST START CLUB is to give each child the best possible start in life.  This is done through the multisensory learning of Baby Signing, Baby Sensory Play, Music and Movement.
Every song we sing and sign, every activity we explore, every dance or movement activity we do, or exploring the lights, the different textures, visuals etc has a developmental purpose.  So whilst we have great fun together, make friends your little one is growing and developing in our classes

Baby Sensory:- Age Group 0-2yrs – Time: 10.30 – 11.30

The class includes a gentle massage of baby, calming for both mum and baby, also settling the atmosphere for the class. By using sensory exploration, rhymes, songs & a special bonding time, your baby’s growth & development are stimulated & all of his senses engaged. The course also covers other beneficial subjects which support signing and help parents or carers better assist the baby in its very early days.
The objective of this course is to get parent and baby understanding each other at the same time as supporting the developmental needs of the baby.

Music and Me – Age Group 2-4yrs – Time: 11.45 – 12.45.
